No video in XP (works fine in 7 though)

Jun 20, 2010 at 2:18 AM

I've been writing and compiling my program on a Windows 7 machine and everything works fine when I run it on that computer, but when I run it on an old XP machine there is no video (audio works fine however).

Are there any prerequisites/codes that I may not have installed on the XP machine which cause the video not to show?

I have the same problem. I've already installed latest DirectX fo Windows XP SP3, DirectX End-User Runtime, DirectX SDK. Then run dxdiag and go through test, all pass fine. However, no video.

I am using MediaUriElement.

Any ideas, thoughts, anything?

Thanks for responses

This problem happens here too : The WPF MediaKit sample program displays the video on one of the Vista machines I have, but not on the other. They have both the same hardware, and both PCs display videos via various video player programs flawlessly. On two other PCs having XP SP3 PCs, the WPF MediaKit sample program displays no video, only the sound comes through.

What are the prerequisites for WPF MediaKit to work?
