webcam in wpf application

i need to integrate a webcam in my wpf application, i found the medikit, but where do i exactly put the WPFMediakit.dll files to make it working, and how do i bind it with the capture device in the xaml code, plz help i'm relatively new with wpf and trying to work my way up..!!!!!

You need to add a reference to the .dll file within your solution, add the correct namespace to your xaml page and you will be able to bind the capture device just like the examples show:

<WPFMediaKit:VideoCaptureElement x:Name="videoCapElement"
                                 LoadedBehavior="Play"
                                 DesiredPixelWidth="320"
                                 DesiredPixelHeight="240"
                                 Stretch="Fill"
                                 VideoCaptureSource="{Binding Path=CaptureDeviceName}"
                                 FPS="30" />


Forgive me for saying but "relatively new with wpf" is probably an understatement.

Since your asking where to put the .dll to make it work, I would advise to really look into some more WPF/C# fundementals.

thanks, found out adding the namespace was a problem now its working fine, is there any way to capture the images too, by adding a button or so, and how do i get those cool effects that jeremiah showed in a vid.
