VideoCaptureElement - NewVideoSample won't be called

Jan 11, 2011 at 2:21 PM

Hello everyone.

I'm having trouble using the WPF MediaKit VideoCaptureElement. I have added this element to my xaml formular with the following code:

<WPFMediaKit:VideoCaptureElement
    x:Name="videoCaptureElement"
    LoadedBehavior="Play"
    DesiredPixelWidth="640"
    DesiredPixelHeight="320"
    FPS="30"
    EnableSampleGrabbing="True"
    NewVideoSample="videoCaptureElement_NewVideoSample"
    />
This works fine on my local machine, the NewVideoSample-Event gets called with every frame. However, when I run this on another machine (a panasonic toughbook) the event simply won't be called at all, making it impossible to save a snapshot of the current frame (using webcam to take pictures). But the element itself is displayed just fine, showing everything the webcam can see.

Anyone got an idea what might be wrong?

Hi,

I have the same problem...

Have you (or someone else) find a solution?

I suspect that it is not easy for those who do not have a  panasonic toughbook to help us, but does anyone have an idea about what could cause this problem ?

I have Win7, updated, and .Net 4.0 on my PC and my panasonic.

thanks

Olivier

check this: http://wpfmediakit.codeplex.com/discussions/272676

The output stream is not in the expected format (RGB24...)
